It is previously reported that there was a planned coup (not yet happened) to take over Democrat Party from Agus Harimurti Yudhoyono (Chairman of Democrat Party and the son of Susila Bambang Yudhoyono, the 6th president of Indonesia), also called as AHY. It is said that the actors behind the plan were former members of Democrat Party and the close circle of central government.
As AHY is still new in political world and previously was not in the position of public leader, it can be said that this issue will show the capability of AHY on controlling the party, solidify internal forces, and mitigating public perception, especially when there is no single political party that is free from internal conflict.
In every party there is always dissatisfaction on leader position, when he informed the internal problem to the public it might showed that he was incapable of solving the problem and prefered to lean on public perception instead by gaining sympathy.
And when he publicly stated regarding the coup, he was betting on his public perception. People might see him as incapable of managing a political party and internal problems or he would gain sympathy and increasing his political electability for 2024. Although the former will be likely to happen.
