The COVID-19 pandemic has been around for two years in Indonesia. Since then, a lot of things has change. We all already read on the newspaper and social media about the impact of COVID-19 to our daily lives, to jobs, and to economics. I’m not going to write about that.
Despite all these hardships, the pandemic also enlighten us on many things and some positive notes are able to be taken. Pandemic has push businesses into adapting into higher technology to apply remote working, cyber security, and remote collaboration. Pandemic has pushed us to see this technology as an important part of daily working life, especially to those who apply remote working or WFH (work from home) policy.
The WFH policy also has widen the working opportunity among those who seeks jobs. Some companies and firms decided to prolong and make their WFH policy somehow an option that employee can take.
It is a good development in a working opportunity. WFH has allowed us to work from the comfort of our home. The WFH policy is a sign of supporting inclusivity in case of Indonesia market as now people can have a career in Jakarta without being in Jakarta. It is finally come to us the moment that people outside of Jakarta and even outside of Java Island can have the same opportunity as those who live in Jakarta. We see the ‘keadilan sosial bagi seluruh rakyat Indonesia’ in a work opportunity is being adapted and promoted in this tough times.
